President and Chief Executive Officer
Joe brings to DepotPoint his extensive experience in the financial services industry. Before joining DepotPoint, Joe served as executive vice president and general manager of the Mortgage Solutions Group of Harland Financial Solutions. Harland's Mortgage Solutions Group is a leading provider of loan origination and loan servicing solutions. Joe introduced the industry leading E3 .Net loan origination system and the ecommerce portal E3Connect. Today over 450 lenders across the United States and Puerto Rico use E3 in daily production.
Prior to Harland, Joe was division President within First American Real Estate Information Services, Inc. He lead the development of a new array of default mortgage-related products and services. Over a five year period, through acquisition and internal growth, the division attained revenues approaching $100 million. As a direct result of this success and the leadership role of the First American Corporation, Joe enjoys relationships with mortgage banking executives across the nation.
Prior to First American, Joe has held a number of senior management positions during his 20 years in the mortgage and financial services industry, including senior vice president of business development with ALLTEL/CPI (now Fidelity National/LPS, Inc.) in Jacksonville, Florida where he directed the marketing of both origination and servicing EDI and Origination system software. While at ALLTEL/CPI he grew EDI revenues by two-fold while developing broad relationships with senior client executives of ALLTEL/CPI. Prior to that as president of Cybertek-Cogensys Corp. he helped pioneer the development of automated underwriting systems for mortgage origination and developed a "who's who" client list including both GSE's, all the major MI companies and several leading mortgage companies. Joe also developed a global perspective of the financial services industry as director of U.S. financial marketing for Wang Laboratories. Best of breed applications in Banking, Brokerage and Insurance were showcased in the New York applications competency center that he created and directed. Joe began his ten-year career at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York where he held positions in International Banking, Consumer and Private Banking International.
Dipan Dewan
Vice President of Products and Platforms
Dipan Dewan brings 18 years of software engineering experience to DepotPoint on a variety of products and services, with the last 14+ years at Microsoft. At Microsoft, Mr. Dewan developed products such as MS Schedule+ and Mail, Exchange Server and bCentral. His passion for web services was triggered when he was leading the integration effort for Commerce Server. Most recently, he was Development Manager of the MSN Money Professional service at Microsoft, where he led the implementation and deployment of the hosted web service starting from the concept stage. Mr. Dewan holds a Master’s in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in India.
Avinash “Avi” Heroor
Director of Customer Experience
Avinash “Avi“ Heroor brings over 12 years of software development and operational experience in electronic payments, wireless data and online payment solutions to DepotPoint.
Before joining DepotPoint Inc., Mr. Heroor held various positions and was most recently Director, Operations and Engineering Services at Authorize.Net, a business unit of Lightbridge Inc and a leading provider of online payment services. In this role he was responsible for various functions including configuration management and Tier 3 customer support. He also served as acting Chief Security Officer for the business unit with responsibility for IT security and compliance with the provisions of both the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. and Visa's Cardholder Information Security Program. While at Authorize.Net, he built the IT Operations team and lead the IT integration after its acquisition from InfoSpace Inc. Before Authorize.Net, he was with 2Roam Inc. a startup providing wireless data solutions, where he held positions in software development and quality assurance.
Prior to 2Roam Inc., Mr. Heroor was with VeriFone Inc. and held positions in software development and the Professional Services Organization. While at the Professional Services Organization, he helped gather requirements, design and implement several solutions for large financial institutions and retailers. Mr. Heroor holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Mysore in India.
Melissa Powell
Director of Sales and Business Development
Melissa brings over 12 years of experience to Depotpoint in the areas of sales development and has a history of establishing long term relationships with partners, private equities, short sales and Auction investors.
Previously, Ms. Powell managed sales teams at companies including ForeclosurePoint.com and Progressive Home Sellers and has a proven track record of managing high producing sales teams. Prior to that, Ms. Powell was the General Manager of North American Van Lines where she was responsible for the sales and operations of Alaska and Washington states. In addition, Ms. Powell's passion for motivating her sale teams rooted back in her career as head coach for several swim clubs in Colorado.
Ms. Powell holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado.
Dennis Green, Jr.
Director of Product Marketing
Dennis Green is a web based business veteran with more than 18 years experience building successful Internet startups. Prior to DepotPoint, Dennis built All Star Directories’ flagship site into the industry’s dominant direct marketing site leading to a successful sale to Austin Ventures in 2006. Dennis has also worked as a marketing consultant providing marketing and product management services to technology companies such as Microsoft, was a founder of iStart Ventures the Northwest’s first internet incubator, and was responsible for the development and launch of FreeShop.com, the first and nation’s largest online direct marketing and lead generation site when it completed its public offering in 1999.
Dennis has broad management experience having held various management positions in marketing, operation, and product management. Dennis graduated from the University of Washington with an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Planning, attended the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, and graduated from the University of Colorado with degrees in both Environmental Design and Business.
