Joe Filoseta
President and Chief Executive Officer
Joe Filoseta is the president and chief executive officer of DepotPoint, where he oversees and directs all business operations for the company's integrated enterprise level default management technology solutions. He has over 20 years of experience in mortgage servicing and origination, with senior executive positions at Harland Financial Services, First American Real Estate Information Services and ALLTELL, among others.
Before joining DepotPoint, Mr. Filoseta served as executive vice president and general manager of the Mortgage Solutions Group of Harland Financial Solutions, a provider of loan origination and loan servicing technology and services. Prior to working at Harland Financial Solutions, Mr. Filoseta was division president within First American Real Estate Information Services, where he led the development of a new array of default mortgage-related products and services.
Mr. Filoseta has held a number of senior management positions in the mortgage and financial services industry, including senior vice president of business development with ALLTEL/CPI (now Fidelity National/LPS); president of Cybertek-Cogensys Corp., where he helped pioneer the development of automated underwriting systems for mortgage origination; and director of U.S. financial marketing for Wang Laboratories. Mr. Filoseta began his career at JP Morgan Chase in New York, where he held positions in international, consumer and private banking.
Mr. Filoseta holds a B.S. in Management and Economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo and has done post-graduate study in Finance at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. He is based out of Bellevue, Washington.
Dipan Dewan
Vice President of Products and Platforms
Dipan Dewan brings 18 years of software engineering experience to DepotPoint on a variety of products and services, with the last 14+ years at Microsoft. At Microsoft, Mr. Dewan developed products such as MS Schedule+ and Mail, Exchange Server and bCentral. His passion for web services was triggered when he was leading the integration effort for Commerce Server. Most recently, he was Development Manager of the MSN Money Professional service at Microsoft, where he led the implementation and deployment of the hosted web service starting from the concept stage. Mr. Dewan holds a Master’s in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in India.
Melissa Powell
Vice President, Sales & Client Services
Melissa Powell brings over 12 years of experience to DepotPoint in the areas of sales development and has a history of establishing long term relationships with partners, private equities, short sales and auction investors.
Previously, Melissa managed sales teams at companies including ForeclosurePoint.com and Progressive Home Sellers and has a proven track record of managing high producing sales teams. Prior to that, Melissa was the General Manager of North American Van Lines where she was responsible for the sales and operations of Alaska and Washington states. In addition, Melissa's passion for motivating her sale teams rooted back in her career as head coach for several swim clubs in Colorado.
Melissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado.
Gabriele Laska
Director of Product Management
Gabriele Laska is an experienced product and project manager with nearly 20 years of experience in the mortgage software industry. She is highly skilled at all aspects of product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle including the conceptualization of new products; the specification of functional capabilities; definition of product release requirements; and product positioning. Adept at both waterfall and agile development methods, Gabriele is knowledgeable of all aspects of project delivery and release management. She also has an extensive track record of delivering solutions under budget and ahead of schedule, surpassing customer expectations.
Prior to joining DepotPoint, Gabriele held various roles at Harland Financial Solutions, including product manager, program/project manager, and business analyst manager. As product manager, she managed a team of software engineers and business analysts responsible for keeping mortgage products in compliance with rapidly changing market requirements and regulations. Among her accomplishments were streamlining the development process to ensure product delivery deadlines were met after a 60% reduction in staff; developing an internal training program and coaching product development staff; and leading a team of analysts in developing a new Windows-based point-of-sale product.
Gabriele graduated from the University of Alaska with a bachelor's degree in foreign languages. She is fluent in English and German.
